‘The term “Guru” comes from the word Zoroaster which means “Teacher from the Sun.” The Guru symbolizes the Light.’ (Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, 2004, p. 1)
In fact the term Guru, which often refers to the Spiritual Teacher, based on Advayataraka Upanishad (14-18, verse 5) means the dispeller of darkness; gumeaning darkness and ru, the dispeller. Darkness in esoteric teachings symbolizes the ignorance which can be removed by shedding light. Basically the only way to diminish darkness is to spread light!
In this case teacher is often compared to a mini-sun, who always radiates light. This light involves the transference of energy and teachings which help the disciple understand and see the higher truth. In fact this light makes the teachings simple and clear. ‘Mysterious subjects become easy to understand due to the transmission of the teachings to the students. Transmission is both received internally and externally.’ (Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, 2004, p. 1)
Basically having a spiritual teacher or guru is considered as one of the priceless gifts given to ones who are lucky enough and ready to enter the spiritual path. The importance of having a guru has been emphasized by many spiritual teachers and authors. According to Ramana Maharishi, ‘The Guru is absolutely necessary. The Upanishads say that none but a Guru can take a man out of the jungle of intellect and sense-perceptions. So there must be Guru.’ (Spiritual Quotes on Master – Guru)
The reason why one needs a guru is basically because entering the spiritual path is accompanied by many challenges, the guru in this case acts as a spiritual guide who can show the way and protect the disciple from fall. According to Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, ‘the Spiritual Path is more complicated that the Amazon. The Guru has already been through the “forest.” Follow the guidance of the Teacher to avoid getting hurt.’ (Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, 2003, p. 5)
The reason why one needs a guru is basically because entering the spiritual path is accompanied by many challenges, the guru in this case acts as a spiritual guide who can show the way and protect the disciple from fall…
However not everyone who are called guru can be trusted. It is always recommended to keep a sharp and discriminating mind. One should not accept things blindly! Buddha said ‘do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. Do not believe anything because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything because it is written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and the benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.’ (Chew, 1995-2012)
But once one finds a proper guru, it is also highly important to have certain degree of respect and receptivity, often called faith, to be able to receive the teachings more effectively. Since the spiritual teacher or guru acts as energy transformer, bringing down the high spiritual energies to the level that the disciple can handle, the more receptive a disciple is the more energy will be brought down to him.
In order to increase the receptivity GMCKS suggest that we mentally repeat:
‘You are like the Sun! All I have to do is to open my inner windows and doors to receive the Blessings!’ (Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, 2004, p. 2)

Healing Breath 14 September 2006, Hindu Business Line - India
Its potent call was evident in the 2,250-strong, pan-Indian attendance during Philippines-born Grand Master Choa Kok Sui's 54th birthday celebration at Bangalore's Christ College auditorium on August 15. The founder of Modern Pranic Healing and Arthatic Yoga spent Independence Day interfacing with practitioners during an unusual third Indian visit this year. The gathering included practitioners from among 90,000-plus Indian pranic healers, including 12,000 based in Karnataka alone. The attendees were drawn from 16 healing foundations across Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Delhi. That's besides international participants from Australia, Canada, Dubai, France, Italy, the Philippines and Sri Lanka. Master Choa's discourses drew a significant IT and BPO presence. On August 16, over 520 pan-Indian pranic healers met him at Bangalore. At Kolkata, close to 1,000 people attended Master Choa's meeting on August 21. The spiritual guru, whose 19 books, translated into 72 languages, have been published in 72 countries, is a big draw. He has been an annual visitor to India since 1991, when he taught an initial course at Kottayam. This year, he also led the 7th World Pranic Healers' Convention at Mumbai from May 12 to 14. Today, Bangalore's M.S. Ramaiah Hospital has a Department of Pranic Healing, while the Apollo Speciality Hospitals in Chennai and Kolkata have pranic healing clinics. No-touch system To the uninitiated, what is pranic healing? It is an ancient no-touch system that uses the activated energy chakras in the human palm, known as chi in acupuncture, ruah or breath of life in the Old Testament, to self-repair the body. How? By revitalising the life force in the affected being or body part through its aura or electromagnetic field. An effective practitioner is re-energised while healing others. Some facts seem significant. That pranic healing is intended to complement, not replace, allopathy. That healers are not medical doctors, but doctors can practice healing. That healers should not interfere with prescribed medications or treatments. Among participants at Bangalore, Kombli Rajagopal, 67, is managing director of the Planetary Peace Movement, which she co-founded with the guru in 1999. She teaches one of his popular works on meditation at Bangalore schools like Bishop Cotton's for Girls, Innisfree, New Horizons, and others. "To me, pranic healing is about a whole way of life. About positive attitudes which regard each problem as a challenge," she says in a telecon. Way back in 1994, hers was a different perspective. Diagnosed with a major heart condition, allopathic practitioners had given her six months to live. But Kombli learnt pranic healing from her 18-year-old son. "Once I healed myself, it gave me great self-confidence in my ability to be self-sufficient," she adds. Challa Srishant, 23, a Hyderabad-based coffee exporter, was another attendee. His story is as dramatic: "Between the ages of 11 and 13, my parents used to take me to a pranic healer in case of any health problem. I called him a `magic doctor' because, with a mere wave of his hands, I'd feel better. When I turned 13, my mother asked me if I wanted to learn to heal others. I agreed, in anticipation of learning magic tricks! That was my introduction to spirituality. There's been no turning back since then." How does Master Choa regard the overview? Some answers emerge from an e-mail interview with him. Spiritual mission When did he first feel the call of the spiritual? "At about 12 years, I had a natural attraction to paranormal and spiritual subjects. I graduated as a chemical engineer, then partially followed my family's tradition of business. Later, I shifted focus towards my spiritual mission," he responds. Why did the ancient practice need a new lease of life? Master Choa says, "It could only be practised by an elite few. My job was to develop a very effective healing system, which ordinary people could learn in just a short period. Anybody can practise pranic healing now. The knowledge of being able to deal with simple ailments is quite empowering." His spiritual gurus included Lord Mahaguruji Mei Ling, and his disciple Chohan Jig Mei Ling. By degrees, Master Choa has gone on to expand consciousness in multiple ways — including the current disciplines of Arthatic Yoga, Crystal Healing, Pranic Self-Defence and Superbrain Yoga. What makes pranic healing stand apart from other alternative medical practices? "It is faster and more effective. It is non-invasive and does not require physical contact with the patient. The use of colour pranas at the advanced levels is unique; its techniques are more scientific," he stresses. Why do some pranic healers often experience symptoms like vomiting, tummy upsets, heavy sweating, and so on? Master Choa clarifies, "Some healers do not follow the prescribed pranic healing procedure and end up absorbing some of the negative or dirty energies from their patients, thus causing their bodies to get sick. But such healers probably constitute less than five per cent of the practitioners." Is modern pranic healing a distillation of other existing systems such as Chinese Chi Kung, Reiki, Christian `laying on of hands,' or the Tibetan healing arts? He says, "Yes, you could say it is a synthesis of the important points from each system. Healing was an art then, not a science. Our spiritual thesis was to develop the healing art into a fully developed healing science. The preparatory work began when I was a teenager. It took more than 18 years to develop Modern Pranic Healing." In our age of scepticism, has it been tough to find global acceptance? "The closed-mindedness of people has been a major obstacle. Where people are willing to learn new things, pranic healing was easier to teach and propagate," Master Choa states. Does he feel our world is ready for a major shift in consciousness? Master Choa says, "Evolution is inexorable and continuous. There will be not just one but most likely several more major shifts in consciousness, over the years. Greater awareness of energy healing systems is one such sign." Can that be the last word? Perhaps not — until each of us is in touch with the healing touch of prana within. | |
Hospital Group Chairman Healed By Pranic Healing
Dr. Pratap Reddy, the chairman of the Apollo Hospital Group in India, was cured recently by Pranic Healing. Please click the this link to read a short article on his comments.
| Reporter's DiaryTamil Nadu - Chennai What senior doctors at Apollo Hospitals could not do for their chairman, P.C. Reddy, a non-allopathic cure did. He said he was suffering from severe spondylitis and chiropractors at the hospital couldn't offer him relief. “What cured me was pranic healing,'' he said at the recent launch of a Medical Music Therapy course at the hospital. It was an occasion when Dr. Reddy went all gung-ho about alternative systems of medicine. His new prescription is an integrated approach to medical treatment, which will offer the patient the best of all systems. Are the patients ready, Dr. Reddy? |

What is Meditation on Twin Hearts?
Meditation on Twin hearts is based on the principle that some of the major energy centers or chakras are entry points or gateways to certain levels or horizons of consciousness. The Twin Hearts pertain to the heart and crown energy centers. The heart chakra is an energy center in front of a person's chest. It is the energy counterpart to the physical heart. The heart chakra is the center for compassion, joy, affection, consideration, mercy, and other higher refined emotions. The Crown energy center (also called the spiritual heart) located on the top of the head is the entry point to higher spiritual consciousness. To achieve illumination or cosmic consciousness, it is necessary to sufficiently activate the crown chakra. This can be done only when the heart chakra is sufficiently activated. Only by developing the higher refined emotions can one possibly experience divine love. When the crown center is highly developed, one experiences Divine Love and Oneness with All.
Blessing the earth with loving-kindness, peace and goodwill following the Meditation on Twin Hearts can be done by a group as a form of world service. The effectiveness of the blessings is magnified many times more when done as a group rather than as an individual.
Who introduced Meditation on Twin Hearts?Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, an internationally known spiritual teacher and lecturer, introduced Meditation on Twin Hearts to the public for the first time in the 1980's. This exceptional meditation is based on an ancient secret only revealed to advanced spiritual aspirants. Grand Master Choa Kok Sui utilized different advanced meditational techniques and synthesized it into one simple yet powerful meditation.
What Happens During The Meditation on Twin Hearts?
When a person practices Meditation on Twin Hearts, divine energy flows down to the practitioner; filling him with Divine Light, Love and Power. The practitioner becomes a channel of this Divine energy.
Spiritual aspirants who have practiced this meditation for quite sometime may experience being enveloped by dazzling, sometimes blinding light. In addition, practitioners may experience divine ecstasy and bliss, and a feeling of oneness with all creation. This has been a common experience among advanced yogis and saints of all religions, and can be verified through their holy scriptures.
This blinding, brilliant, and dazzling light is known as Heaven Ki in Taoist yoga, or the Pillar of Light in ancient Jewish Kaballah traditions. To the Indian yogis and saints, they call this pillar of light, the Antakharana, or spiritual bridge of light. The Christians refer to it as the Descent of the Holy Spirit, symbolized by a pillar of light with a descending white dove. The white dove represents the coming down of divine energy. The descent of the divine energy causes the temporary expansion of the practitioner's major chakras and inner aura. When meditation is practiced on a regular basis, the expansion may become permanent.
The heart chakra is a replica, or twin of the crown chakra. When you look at the heart chakra, it has twelve petals, similar to the twelve petals which form the inner core of the crown chakra. The crown chakra, on the other hand, is the center of illumination, or divine love, or oneness with all. It is situated on top of a person's head, providing energy for the brain and the glands therein. When the Crown chakra is sufficiently activated, its inner core of twelve petals unfurl, open and turn upward like a golden cup, golden crown, golden lotus, or golden flower, to receive spiritual energy which is distributed to other parts of the body.
Steps in Meditation on Twin Hearts1) Cleansing The Etheric Body Through Physical Exercise
Do physical exercise for about five minutes. Doing physical exercise has a cleansing effect on the etheric body. Light grayish matter or used-up prana is expelled from the etheric body when exercising. Physical exercises have to be done to minimize possible pranic congestion since this meditation generates a lot of subtle energies in the etheric body.
2) Invocation For Divine Blessing
Invoke the Divine Blessings. Hindus pray for Shiva or Krishna or to the Guru, Christians to Jesus or Christ or Mary, Muslims to Allah, and Buddhists to Buddha. If you are eclectic, you may say, "To the Universal Supreme God."
You can use the following invocation:
"To the Supreme God, I humbly invoke for divine guidance, divine love and illumination, divine oneness, divine bliss, divine help, and divine protection. With thanks and in full faith."
3) Connecting The Tongue To The Palate
Connecting the tongue to the palate completes the connection between the front and back energy channels of the aura, thus increasing the energy level and facilitating the circulation of energy during the meditation.
4) Activating The Heart Chakra And Blessing The Entire Earth With Loving Kindness
Press your front heart chakra with your finger for a few seconds. This is to make concentration on the front heart chakra easier. Visualize a small earth, the size of a small ball, directly in front of you. Concentrate on the front heart chakra and bless the earth with loving kindness at the same time visualizing pink light flowing from your heart chakra enveloping the entire earth. You may use the prayer of St. Francis of Assisi. Be aware of your heart and hands as you say silently say the following.
To the Supreme God,
Make me an instrument of your peace.
Feel the inner peace within you. Allow yourself to be a channel of divine peace. Feel the peace within you. Let it flow to your arms, to your hands. Bless the earth with peace. Gently and lovingly share this peace with the small earth in front of you.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Feel the divine love within you. Allow yourself to be a channel of divine love. Feel this love within you. Feel this love flowing from your heart, to your arms, flowing to the small earth in front of you. Bless the earth with peace and with love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Feel the spirit of reconciliation. Allow yourself to be a channel of divine forgiveness, divine reconciliation. Bless the earth with the spirit of forgiveness, reconciliation, understanding, harmony and peace.
Where there is despair, hope; doubt faith.
Feel the divine hope and faith. Allow yourself to be a channel of divine hope and divine faith. Bless the earth with hope and faith. Bless people who are having a difficult time with hope and faith. Silently tell them, "You can make it." Bless them with divine hope and divine faith and divine strength.
Where there is darkness, light; sadness, joy.
Allow yourself to be a channel of divine light and joy. Bless the entire earth with divine light and joy. Bless people who are sad, depressed and in pain with divine light and joy. Fill them with light and joy.
5) Activating The Crown Chakra And Blessing The Earth With Loving-Kindness
Press the crown chakra with your finger for several seconds to facilitate concentration on the crown chakra and bless the entire earth with loving-kindness while visualizing divine white light flowing from your crown and enveloping the earth in front of you. When the crown chakra is fully opened, some of you will feel something blooming on top of the head and some will also feel something pressing on the crown. The following blessing may be used:
From the center of the heart of God,
Let the entire earth be blessed with loving-kindness.
Feel the divine love and kindness. Allow yourself to be a channel of divine love and kindness and share these with the whole earth.
Let the entire earth be blessed with great joy and happiness.
Feel the joy and happiness and share these with the entire earth. Visualize people smiling, their hearts filled with joy and happiness.
From the center of the heart of God,
Let the entire earth be blessed withunderstanding,
harmony, and divine peace.
Allow yourself to be a channel of understanding, harmony and peace. Visualize people or nations that are on the verge of fighting or are fighting reconciling and living in harmony with each other. Visualize people putting down their arms, shaking hands and embracing each other.
Let the entire earth be blessed with goodwill and the will to do good.
Imagine people not filled with good intentions, not only talking about doing something good, but also actually carrying out these good intentions. This is the meaning of the "will to do good."
6) Meditate And Bless The Earth With Loving-Kindness Simultaneously Through The Heart And Crown Chakras
After the crown has been activated, concentrate simultaneously on the crown chakra and the heart chakra, and bless the entire earth with loving-kindness for a few minutes. This will align both chakras, thereby making the blessing more potent. Imagine the small earth in front of you. Visualize a golden light from your hands going down to the earth, filling the whole earth with light and love. You may use the following blessing:
From the center of the heart of God,Let the entire earth, every person, every beingbe blessed with divine love and kindness
Feel the divine love and kindness and share these with the whole earth, every person and every being.
Let the entire earth, every person, and every being be blessedWith divine sweetness, divine joy, with warmness,Caringness and tenderness.Feel the sweet, loving feeling and share it with the whole earth.
From the center of the heart of God,Let the entire earth, every person, and every being be blessedWith inner healing, inner beauty, divine bliss and, divine oneness.
Feel the divine bliss and divine oneness, and share these with every person and every being.
7) Achieve Illumination-Meditation On The Light, On The Mantra OM And The Interval Between The Two OMs
Gently imagine a brilliant white light or golden light on the crown. Look at it gently and lovingly. Feel the quality of the energy emitted by the light. Feel the inner peace, stillness and bliss emanating from the light. Be aware of the light, the inner stillness and the bliss. Gently and silently chant the mantra OM or Amen. OOOOMMMM…..OOOOMMMM…..OOOOMMMM…. OOOOMMMM…..OOOOMMMM…..OOOOMMMM…. OOOOMMMM…..OOOOMMMM…..OOOOMMMM….
Continue meditating for about 10 minutes. Relax and let go.
8) Releasing Excess Energy By Blessing And By Rooting
After the meditation, raise again both hands with palms facing outward. Imagine the earth. Release the excess energy by blessing earth with light, loving-kindness, peace and prosperity for several minutes until your body has normalized.
After releasing the excess energy, you may bless specific persons or your family and friends.
Next, gently be aware of the base of the spine. Project your consciousness down into the earth and imagine light descending into the earth three meters or 10 feet deep.
9) Giving Thanks
After the end of the meditation, always give thanks to the Divine Providence and to your spiritual guides for the divine blessing.
10) Further Releasing Of Excess Energy Through More Physical Exercises And Massaging
Strengthen the visible physical through massage of different parts of the body and more physical exercises after the end of the meditation for about five minutes. The purpose is to further cleanse and strengthen the visible body since more used-up prana is expelled out of the body. This facilitates the assimilation of the pranic and spiritual energies, thereby enhancing the beauty and health of the practitioner. Massaging and exercising after this meditation also reduces the possibility of pranic congestion or energy getting in certain parts of the body that may lead to illness. You can also gradually cure yourself of some ailments by doing exercises after doing the Meditation on the Twin Hearts. It is very important to exercise after the meditation; otherwise, the visible body will inevitably be weakened. Although the etheric body will become very bright and strong, the visible physical body will become weak because it will not be able to withstand the leftover energy generated by the meditation in the long run.

Energy Healing to Maintain and Restore Your Health
Energy Healing to Maintain and Restore Your Health
Pranic Healing (healing with prana, chi, ki, or life force) is
a comprehensive,
integrated, energy-based healing system. The
techniques are extremely
simple and effective. Anybody can learn them
and apply them to oneself
and others. You need not be a “natural born
healer” in order to be
able to heal—not with Pranic Healing.
This science and art was developed by Master Choa Kok Sui after
over 20 years of studies,
research, and experimentation with ancient
esoteric sciences.
Pranic Healing is based upon two principles:
• The ability of the body
to heal itself
• “Prana” or life force is
essential for physical life to exist.
Prana is found in the air, in the ground, and
in the sun.
As human beings, not only do we have a visible
physical body, but
also an invisible physical
one—called etheric body—as well as an
emotional (astral),
mental, and spiritual body. All of these non-visible
bodies are known as aura,
biosplasmic body, or energy body.
Prana is absorbed into the energy body through
energy vortexes
called chakras and runs
through veins like energy channels, called
meridians or nadis.The
energy body is the blueprint of the physical body.
Disease first appears in
the energy field. A number of reasons can cause
the energy body to become
imbalanced. Blockages, stale prana, and
clogged chakras affect the
flow of prana through the energy body,
resulting in imbalances
that will eventually transfer to the physical body
in many different ways. It
is because of this correspondence between
physical and energy bodies
that by restoring the harmonious flow of
prana in the energy body,
we are able to restore health in the physical
body.
After years of research, experiments, and
validations done with
clairvoyants, Master Choa
Kok Sui developed a “cookbook” approach
to treat each disease or
illness. It was observed that each illness
involved a particular
pattern in the energy field and a unique group of
chakras were affected.
Consequently, a specific “recipe” was established to
treat each illness.
Positive emotions and thoughts have beneficial
effects on the
physical and energy
bodies. On the other hand, negative thoughts and
negative emotions held for
long periods of time affect the chakras
and quality of the energy
body. These are the cause of a wide range of
emotional ailments that
may also manifest in the physical body.
Pranic Healing includes techniques to remove
these negative energies,
restoring emotional and
physical health. I have been a witness to the healing
of phobias in just one
session.
How is the harmonious flow of prana through the
energy
body restored?
The pranic healer is trained to scan and
assess the energy field,
chakras, and organs of the
patient to detect congestions or depletions
of energy and other
irregularities. Some of these conditions might have
not even manifested in the
physical body yet and treating them can
prevent a potential
physical condition to materialize.
Therefore, Pranic Healing
is a great prophylactic tool.
Cleansing the patient is a
strongly emphasized step of the
treatment in Pranic
Healing. Energizing without first “cleansing”
is like pouring fresh
water into a cup that is already filled with dirty
water. If “diseased”
energy is pushed further into the body, a healing
crisis can occur where the
body attempts to expel “stale” or “diseased” energies.
Symptoms might be
vomiting, fever, diarrhea, fatigue,
and heavy sweating.
Once the blockages and congestions from the
chakras and different parts of
the body have been cleansed, the pranic healer
will
energize with fresh
“prana” where it is needed.
Pranic Healing utilizes a
“water pump” technique, which
prevents the healer from getting
drained and depleted while
healing.
By cleansing and energizing, the rate at which
the physical body
heals itself increases
substantially and often these healings appear to
be “miracles.” Actually,
what has occurred is a natural process that
was enhanced by the
techniques applied by the pranic healer. Pranic
Healing acts as a powerful
catalyst to spark the body’s inborn ability to heal itself.
St.
Augustine
said, “Miracles do not happen in contradiction
to nature, but only to that which is
known to us in nature.”
Since the treatment is
done on the energy body, Pranic Healing
only involves no-touch
techniques.
Pranic Healing is also very effective in
teaching the practitioner
about “energy hygiene.”
Hygiene is essential in order to maintain a
clean energy field and to
avoid becoming contaminated while healing.
If this practice is not
observed, the healer’s energy body can become
dirty, clogged, and
depleted. Eventually, the physical body will become
sick, and his or her own
conductivity of prana will diminish in detriment to
the effectiveness of the
treatments.
Pranic Healing has taught me the practical
techniques to affect,
purify, and maintain the health of my
bodies and those of my patients.
